sheesh!! talk about a long break from crushing!!! i have been making a mental note of all of the things that are making my life great, and i’m spying from the corner of my creative mind…. i hope that your tuesday is full of life and sunshine!
here are some of the things that are making this summer heat a little more bearable!! my sweet goodness tejas! lay off the heat and humidity!!! we need to move to Colorado!
flowy tank tops (is flow-y a word?) i’m so thankful for these guys- every day i wake up and don’t want my clothes to be anywhere near my body!! so these comfy things are rocking my world!! here are a few examples:
peace and calming essiential oil… this is a life saver- it is so refreshing and i use it instead of perfume- it brightens up even the most humid of moods
i think i might have crushed on this before, but really- i use it 10 times a day.
and who can live in texas with a yard and no kiddie pool? thank you to whoever invented the kiddie pool- we have the hard plastic kind (2 of them actually) so when the water gets warm in one, you can hop to the other… and then dump them out and water your grass when your done! SWEET!! seriously, the next house we buy here in texas will have a pool- this heat is silly. for real, thank you for kiddie pools!!
and this last one might sound silly- as a matter of fact- know you might fall off your chair- but it’s cool… those of us that don’t have “good hair” can have a party and celebrate the hot rollers have come a long way since the 80’s. i used my mama’s till i was in high school- and then i discovered the chi 2 years into college (thanks to my girl whitney!) when we lived in Germany every day was a good hair day- no humidity and cool weather… even rainy days weren’t that bad! when i moved back to texas the frizz returned and somehow most of the curl dropped out of my hair (maybe it’s the heat… or hormones… but whatever) so, if i want my hair to look decent (let’s face it most days i wear scarves) i have to straighten my whole head of hair AND THEN ROLL IT. i even had to go to the door and great my ups man with rollers… niiiice.
don’t hate.
these make my life easy.
