Inspiration | Online Searching | Tuesday Crush No. 3

** this post will be related to all things food- because i am currently completely obsessed with eating/gardening/cooking/grilling/baking/reading cookbooks/&&& more eating (of course)

two of my FAVORITE food magazines (though i have made myself NOT subscribe, because i have thousands of recipes i am to attempt before i add thousands more) these are my favorites because the food styling and photography is out of this world.  second to none (not even each other- let’s face it conde nast does magazines perfectly!) these magazines are the reason i weekly peruse thrift stores for random dishes & have to serve brandon’s beautiful food warm because i need “one more shot”  they are my muse when i crave rich color, texture, and balance- and the source of many a painting & drawing.  ok, that’s enough… here they are: ** small confession, after re-visiting the sites to link, i think i might cave and go ahead and re-subscribe- it is silly how much i love these pages.

Gourmet

the strawberries make for a lovely cover- but i prefer the blank covers, look at this beauty!

second magazine:

Bon Appetite

again, i like the more simple covers

and in honor of great publications, i will share a few of my favorite photographers that happen to make folk’s mouths water with the click of every shutter:

Anna Baur

John Kernick

Roland Bello

i could list 15 more, but i won’t… so you can take the time to take in the work of these super minds.

when i say brilliant, i mean… BRI-LI-ANT.

ok, now, onto the the CRUSH that applies to the actual food i eat…

i almost died when i realized that had been pumping my husband and any house guest with MSG.  well, to be honest, i knew there was a little in the food, but i had no idea how bad it was for you!

so, i searched and searched and found this:

i made Risotto with it last night and it was yummy!!

and i’ve had an epiphany.

yeah, that’s right.

i’ve discovered my dream home.

i’ve never really been a “if i could have any life, this is what it would look like person” until last night- i was walking down the stairs and could just see it and feel the bliss.

my dream life/home/lifestyle would be:

a house in the jungle or woods (swiss family robinson style)

with an outdoor kitchen

kids running around everywhere (but readily available to mind, help with chores, and live creatively)

fresh eggs from our chickens and veggies from our garden

i would cook all day, build forts, teach, love, and enjoy my husband and kiddos.

we would eat long meals & really enjoy & know each other.

(but i would prefer no misquotes , ants, snakes, or spiders- right? right.)

this AWESOME POST came from Decorology

is that our Victorian in a tree? i bet brandon could make that happen!
