i hope you have a blast celebrating with your family and friends-  things are pretty precious around here… we are going to celebrate the sacrifice of generations of men and women who have fought for freedom- for our freedom as Americans.   i hope you stop and think at some point about the lives that have been given for your freedom- what an incredible country we live in.  what a joy it is to be free. i think it is the desire of every living being to be free- and i believe that desire is put in us by the God that pursues us- the God who desires for each of  us to be free- so much so, that he would send his son to make a way for our freedom.  i suppose freedom has always been at the expense of precious life.  what a joy that the sacrifice that Jesus made sets each of us free, no matter what this world has to say about it.  It is for FREEDOM we have been set free.  may freedom be  yours for eternity.

this is madelyn- from a sweet session in Germany- i just love her spirit in this- a true little spirit of freedom.

i’m not really great at not being able to share 100% of my life in complete honesty.

we are fostering 3 babies.

i can’t show you their pictures-

i can’t tell you the funny stories-

i can’t show you the images that document each step-

not because i don’t want to, but because i can’t.

privacy issues and all, you know, this legal system is for real.

it’s really hard.

i didn’t think it would be that big of a deal blogging personally and then professionaly- then i realized how personal my professional blog was/is-

there are tons of images i could share here, i am still shooting, shooting, shooting-

i can’t tell you how many times i’ve clicked “new post” to sit here, blank, with no words-

and certainly no images to pair with no words.

i’ve been at a loss- and they way i deal with that is to stick it in a compartment and pull it out occasionally- ending in overwhelming concern-only to end up back where it began, over there, in the “i’ll get to it eventually” compartment.

it’s a lot harder than i expected.

i think it’s because i am so thankful for each reader, and i really want you to get to see the reality of my life- and how it has all been flipped upside down- but i suppose that is not for now-

so, for now, i’m going to share with you a little bit about the parts of my life that i can.

and do my best to keep posting all the sweet images i am capturing of my incredible clients & to keep you informed about the SMP happenings!!

these images, are of the greatest treasures i have on this earth.  my sister jacklyn took them on my birthday when we all went to the lake to fly kites.

this is shawndrick.

my Godson.

he has a part of my heart that i don’t even know how to gain access too- only he holds the key.

he wears it around his neck and guards it- and has a hard time when people try to share it.

he is autistic.

he doesn’t speak.

but we have conversations that you can only have when you know someone so well that you can hear their eyes,  feel their heart.

he is afraid of the water.

we have worked on it for years.

on my birthday he walked into the water with me.

it was a great joy.

so, here is a bit of my life that i can share… and know that i’m working this out… and coming to a pretty great place!

it is going to be a productive day!

i hope you had a marvelous weekend…mine was splendid. date night with friends, half day in pj’s, errands, fun time with brandon, sweet church service, and a relaxing sunday… yesssir, it was a great one!

i am working on a super secret project that will be presented to my clients soon and very soon… it is going to be sweet stuff!!

if you read this blog today, please say a prayer for me and my romeo.

brandon and i have had some CRAZY, and i mean…. seriously loco…. events transpire in our lives in the last couple of weeks.  i won’t go into all of the details now, they will surely come later….

if you have noticed an absence of posts or words, or thoughts, it’s because they are all being sucked into one big conglomeration of energy & focused towards one thing.

it is going to be worth it in the end- if you know me, you know that my work is a reflection of my life, not my life.  so, thank you for your understanding as i focus on the things in this life that matter most!

i’m still working away, i’m just doing it from a different angle.

today, i just ask that you pray for us.

we need WISDOM, understanding, grace, and a million other things…

please just pray however God leads you-

I certainly don’t mean to be all secretive and cryptic at all-  there is nothing wrong, absolutely nothing- all of this is wonderful… it’s just seriously wild!
