bryan/college station photographer | if you could see

what if you could see, just for a second what is really there?

what if just for a moment, the scales were lifted and you could see, clearly?

would your life change?

would your daily choices be altered?

would you dig deeper, listen harder, and waste less time?

would you pay attention to the people placed in your life and seek to know why?

why your parents? spouse? siblings? friends? what purpose do they serve in growing you? what purpose do you serve in their lives?

there is much going on here- MUCH.  the long short of it is- february was supposed to be my slow month of catch up- turns out, it was quite fast, and alas, is over.

10 days into march- i have 3 weddings coming quickly, new fun ideas, lots of work to outsource, and a life to live- intentionally.

i have had many, many, INCREDIBLE talks with lovely ladies over the last couple of weeks- each taught me so much- above all- what i carried away from every one was their story- their own unique, specific, non-accidental, way down deep, no one can take it way stories… they have moved me, and caused me to take a deep breath and ask for eyes that see clearly.  not dimly- not really great with contacts, or bi/tri focals- i mean, the eyes of an eagle- eyes that cause me to live differently.

my absence has been filled with inspiration- and a lot less computer time.  it’s been nice-  i’ve read two more books and i’m waiting on my next one to come in- (pride and prejudice thanks to katelyn:))

speaking of katelyn’s… the beauty up tops name is Katelyn too… she’s a bryan high senior and we did a KILLER shoot last week- more images to come! they are MAGIC.

i hope this finds you well, inspired, and recharged- i have some new toys and will be reviewing some really cool photography tools coming up- so keep a look out!

if you are a photographer, and wondering why in the world aren’t you at WPPI??? well, in short, i’m overwhelmed by the pace of america still… and i’m quite shy- maybe next year:)i hear it’s a blast! if you aren’t a photographer, that doesn’t make sense to you- so don’t even much worrrry about it:)it’s kind of boring work stuff;)

more to come friends, more to come.

love your heart my dear. that photo IS magic. i know you think you are shy, but your warmth and kindness radiates when a stranger is present.

WPPI is overrated- or so I’ve heard. And just another thing to add to the heaping pile labeled “overwhelming” in my life.

love you bunches and miss you.

yes… i went to wppi this year… and have to say, overrated. i was kinda bummed. but it is a great place to network and meet people. i learned more from the people sitting in the chairs next to me than the actual “famous” instructors. i would go again just for that reason, but will not have high expectations for the classes.
